Please make plans to join us for our August chapter meeting!  WEOC is organizing this month's speaker:  Jeff Francis, Director of the Workers' Compensation Divison of the TN DOL.  He will be discussing how to avoid some of the most common mistakes and cut your workers' comp. costs.

This meeting will be devoted to finalizing plans for our April Legal Seminar being held at the Lannom Center.  The YMCA will also be giving a brief presentation on the benefits of membership and what they have to offer employers and their employees.

Ret. Col. Dan Callahan, DOD Contractor/Administrative Support technician for the WEST TN Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Committee, will be speaking on the ESGR partnership with employers for returning military and an overview of the available programs being initiated by the ESGR to help connect employers with military for employment and jobs.

Join us for our last SHRM meeting in 2012!  This meeting's focus will be a round table discussion summarizing benefits changes for 2013 at our companies.  Also, our President-Elect, Angela Newbill,  will be presenting to our membership the future plans for our chapter as we move into 2013.

Once again it's time for our annual meeting  at the Chisholm Lake Restaurant in Ripley.  I think we all look forward to this one - as there is no set agenda, we all get a chance to relax and visit with each other - and the steak isn't bad either!

Ermco as once again agreed to host the meal so all you need to do is come prepared to eat!  We will meet at the restaurant at 5:30pm with dinner beginning at 6:00pm.  Please send me your RSVP no later than Thursday, September 13 as Ermco will need the total number attending by then.
